Sat. Nov. 2, 2019 – non-prepping hobby day….

By on November 2nd, 2019 in Random Stuff

Cold and slightly less damp, if I’m lucky. [44F and 99%RH at 630]

Loaded up the truck with stuff to sell at my mini swapmeet. It’s a bit like the old joke- Two antique dealers are the only humans stranded on a desert island, and they both have thriving stores.

I’m hoping to swap some stuff for cash…

I’ll have the younger child with me, fully charged up with the power of the cute. Can’t hurt when the average age of my club members is 65+… Older child is doing a girl scout engineering day at the park. My contribution was some rope, twine, and some REALLY heavy duty double walled cardboard. The parent guide said cardboard was king, and nothing exceeds like excess….

So I’m off to sell, and NOT to buy, hoping to empty the truck at least.

I guess it is a lazy day at CNN as they push a narrative on how Stretch Pelosi becomes President. Double impeachment or assassination? I guess they are going with whatever tRump did, Pence did, too. The MSM is just crazy.

    CNN = Crazy Nonnews Network.

    I’m feeling in a charitable mood. 😉

DirecTV is having severe problems today across the entire USA. Did that wacko in North Korea shoot down one of the 12 ??? satellites ?

Really, a reciprocating saw ? Did the contractor test the nnew fence design at all ? Even I own a reciprocating saw, they are wonderfull at tearing stuff apart.

Well, I sold a couple of items, but not as much as I was hoping. Hit one goodwill and a yard sale on the way home. Touched base with friends at their store, since I had the hypercute with me…

Time to get the Halloween decor put away. I’d leave some out but I don’t want it to get wet.

Daughter was super cute and quiet when she wasn’t at my sale table shilling! Quite the sales generator.

Dunno much about fences except this: an unattended fence just as well not exist. Of course you can cut it, or climb it, or whatever. Fences only exist to slow people down, so that you can do something. Like shoot them as invaders, which they rather obviously are.

Hearing aid batteries finally expired. 5.5 days of use. Aids beep in the ear to let the wearer know the batteries are about to expire. But that means you have about 30 minutes until the devices shut down. Thus I will need to carry spare batteries with me. Or purchase while out. Batteries are cheap, 60 for $20 at Amazon, a little more at Walmart. I have yet to receive my 6 month supply from the VA. Four extra batteries were provided at the fitting. I am guessing the VA will be sending 60 to 80 batteries.

I thought it never rained in southern Cali ?

Don’t know about the hail though. Seems like the ice age is coming back.

Sadly, apprenticing is not as appreciated today as much as it used to be. And glad that you could do it, good times, good times !!!

And she is proud for helping Dad out.

Both chambers of Congress would have to approve a new VP if Pence moved up.

What if Pence nominated Amy Comey Barrett and dared the Dems to vote against history? Barrett as VP has a built in expiration date.

Seriously, though, the Republicans would find a non-threat they could get through the House like they did with Gerald Ford. Maybe convince Jeb! to give up the Playboy Bunny girlfriend for a year for his own piece of history. Or Kasich.

Stretch has too many skeletons hanging out in her closet to be President. Lots of vault doors from San Francisco to Baltimore would swing open. Before she was “Pelosi”, Stretch was Baltimore Mayor Thomas D’Alesandro’s hippie daughter.
