Today is the anniversary of the birth of Robert Bruce Thompson.
It’s also the anniversary of D-Day– the Normandy Invasion… my wife has a relative buried there as do far too many.
Today raise a toast to “Absent friends”.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
