07:51 – The morning paper finally called a spade a spade, referring to what’s going on in Baltimore as “rioting and looting” rather than “violent protests”. Whatever happened to Reading the Riot Act? The Baltimore PD is still using only tear gas and rubber bullets. Buckshot would be more effective, and would also send a signal. Looters and arsonists should be shot dead and piled up for later disposal in the landfill. Nor should any charges be filed against business owners and homeowners who use lethal force to defend themselves and their properties, nor against any police officer who does the same. People who riot, loot, and burn are not exercising their Constitutional rights. They are violent criminals and should be treated accordingly.

So far, this kind of activity has been limited to underclass areas in major cities, but I fear it’s going to spread to mid-size cities and eventually to smaller towns and anywhere else with concentrated underclass populations. I also fear it’s going to become the new normal. That’s one of the major reasons that we want to relocate away from Winston-Salem to a small town up in the mountains. That’s not a perfect solution by any means, but it’s the best we can do.

I started reading Harry Turtledove’s Supervolcano trilogy last night. I made it though the first book and halfway through the second. I’m not impressed. I’ve read several of his alternative history series, and all were competently done. Turtledove is certainly no Heinlein, nor even a Pournelle/Niven or a Bujold. But his past books have always had huge casts of characters with lots of action. This series has a much smaller cast and almost nothing going on. I keep expecting something to happen, but the book just drones on and on. I just checked the Amazon reviews on this series, which I should have done in the first place, and found that others have the same take on this series. I’ll probably finish the second book and I may even read the third and final in the series, but I’m not expecting much. Turtledove has somehow made a catastrophic eruption of the Yellowstone supervolcano into a boring, business-as-usual event.

More science kit stuff today. I’m making up solutions, and may have time to fill some bottles.

I was actually quite shocked to hear the constant references to criminals and thugs. Someone wants to distance this from the protesters. I don’t think it’s that clear. The protesters had their fair share of lawbreakers and opportunists.

I found it amusing to watch the local coverage (via steaming) and hear the ‘why is this happening HERE’ wailing. Why? Because you have a large underclass! Did you think yours was different? It’s a nationwide culture, and it doesn’t share your values. The reaction to the ‘rock’ throwing was interesting too. Apparently, a whole bunch of people didn’t understand just what that meant until they saw the footage. IT’S BRICKS PEOPLE! It’s not harmless kids throwing quarter sized rocks from the path to your front door, it’s adults trying to MURDER people with bricks and chunks of concrete. I bet the endless repetition of ‘palestinian youths throwing rocks’ has numbed people to the reality. It’s attempted murder. As a private citizen, this is a deadly force attack, justifying an armed response. The cops may be under different ROE, but I will shoot you in the face if you try this with me.

WRT that. New pix have emerged of a white shop owner pulled into the sidewalk, sucker punched, and then kicked and stomped on the head when he’s on the ground. Once more we see the savages dancing around (literally) and trying to kill or maim a productive citizen by crushing his skull. Even if you survive, you’ll have life changing injuries, which is a pretty mild euphemism for brain damage and extensive reconstructive surgery, scarring, and nerve damage. The lesson is clear. Don’t let them pull you out of your car, home, or business. Shoot as many as it takes. And RUN if you can.

Also funny that the liberal press is getting a taste of reality. White reporters and cameramen are getting attacked. They seemed surprised. “But we’re press!” they scream, whether its cops or robbers beating them. You can almost hear the paradigm cracking “put why are these poor gentle giants attacking US? We’re on their side!” If a conservative is a liberal whose been mugged, maybe there are a few more conservatives today. Or maybe they’ll continue to find excuses and justifications for the behavior.

As long as the above apply to agents of the state, too, then I’m in complete agreement.

The online libturds are still on the side of the thugs in MD. They sit behind their ‘puters in their bedrooms like perfumed royalty in the clouds. Keep an eye on the Baltimore Mayor as the shit escalates. She’s lucky she’s black, therefore she can’t be a RACIST! She’s calling thugs…thugs. Twitter libs are calling the rioters…protestors. lol

  4. OFD says:

The mayor down there told the cops to “contain” the mayhem, which, translated, means, “Keep it in the shit-hole areas and don’t let it leak out to the middle-class/white ‘burbs.”

But there are at least half a million “underclass” derps in the city and that ‘thin blue line’ ain’t gonna suffice this summer. They might be able to contain it for now but a day of reckoning is coming up fast.

We are now looking at a gang war: the police and soldier gangs versus the underclass gangs. And as crappy as the training and firearms abilities are of the former gangs, they will still have enough firepower to reduce the latter, bit by bit, in urban guerrilla warfare, and they’re gonna take some hits and it’s gonna leak out anyway to the ‘burbs eventually.

One thing to note in this coming mess: the majority of armed citizens out here shoot better than all of the aforementioned gangs, with the exception of military spec ops people. Another look back and printing out of Matt Bracken’s articles for the Western Rifle Shooters site may be in order.

Also this site here, and getting comm gear in order to be able to monitor genuine stuff on the air regarding these situations and not have to rely on the tee-vee and MSM.

Well, that did not take long, “Idaho city’s ordinance tells pastors to marry gays or go to jail”:
    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/oct/20/idaho-citys-ordinance-tells-pastors-to-marry-gays-/

  6. nick says:

    @lynn,

well it followed the plan of attack. Make something:

    desirable>>suggested>>>required

We’ll see if it stands up in court. It’s gonna be costly for the people, and the taxpayers.

  7. OFD says:

Same plan of attack here in Vermont back when:

lessen alleged rampant discrimination and prejudice against homosexuals

    institute “civil unions”

    institute homosexual “marriage”

Force businesses to sell products and services to homosexuals despite their religious beliefs

Get other states to follow suit

    Get cases to SCOTUS

Next up, if not in all states, but probably some:

    Legalized pedophilia

    Legalized incest

    Legalized bestiality

    Legalized necrophilia

    Think I’m kidding or exaggerating?

This is a very sick society and culture right now and getting worse by the day.

  8. Lynn McGuire says:

You forgot group marriages. That is before SCOTUS also.

  9. MrAtoz says:

    Legalized necrophilia

When Dirty Harry Reid kicks, I’m sure the mob and unions will “line up” to pay their respects. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.

  10. Robert Bruce Thompson says:

What’s wrong with group marriages. In fact, why is it anyone else’s business what consenting adults choose to do?

  11. OFD says:

From the Maoists at Salon’s online agitprop/scandal sheet today:

“Salon.com: Baltimore’s violent protesters are right: Smashing police cars is a legitimate political strategy”

From there the slippery slope descends to “Murdering police officers is a legitimate…etc.”

And then: “Murdering Whitey in the vanilla suburbs is a legitimate…etc.”

Gonna be a long hot summer, homies.

  12. SteveF says:

RBT, I’m sure your attitude is unacceptable. Turn yourself in to the reeducation camp post haste.

  13. SteveF says:

As for the order of events OFD posited, can we change it up a bit? I’m not interested in pedophilia, bestiality, or incest, but I wanna get me some o’ that hot, hot necro-love. Rather, that cold, cold necro-love.

  14. Lynn McGuire says:

What’s wrong with group marriages. In fact, why is it anyone else’s business what consenting adults choose to do?

In an ideal libertarian world, nothing. In the real world, the world that we live in, plenty. The fairly major issues of taxation, inheritance, custody, etc, would have to be worked out in the legal world. Plus, as I have mentioned before, we have a problem here in Texas with 50 year old so-called prophets marrying 13 or 14 year old girls in their closed communities.

I have no answers for these issues other than I prefer for them to be solved legislatively rather than in the courts. In Texas, I will grant you that the issues will probably never be solved until the state legislature is forced into a teeny, tiny corner without a window.

  15. Lynn McGuire says:

but I wanna get me some o’ that hot, hot necro-love. Rather, that cold, cold necro-love

Thanks, now I have that ultra creepy Tom Petty video running through my mind, “Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers – Mary Jane’s Last Dance “:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aowSGxim_O8

  16. OFD says:

Yup, dat was pretty creepy, Mr. Lynn, tanks a lot. Over twenty years old and I hadn’t ever seen it.

Mary Jane was pretty fresh there, and apparently not quite dead yet. In real life, haha, by the time most cadavers arrive at the morgue, rigor is already setting in, though.

Also what Mr. Lynn done said; the legal issues/ramifications already in play from the homosexual “marriages” and “civil unions” are well on the way to being as bad a nightmare as it’s been for heterosexual marriages. Throw in incest, pedophilia, bestiality and group marriages and the legal messes arising, thanks mainly to the State’s meddling, and of course lawyers, will rise to geometric levels of madness.

We’ve seen women marrying bridges and buildings or themselves; three-way male homosexual “marriages,” and what next? Bruce Gender and his mom go into a group marriage with a fire hydrant, their Cub Scout nephew, and a Lhasa Apso? And we’re supposed to celebrate such insane shit with happy faces and wish them well?

Include me out. Way the fuck out.

  17. MrAtoz says:

lol! Sharpless is in Baltimore with the Mayor. Problem solved!!

Can Jackwagon be far behind? There’s a buck to be made and a pot to be stirred!

  18. MrAtoz says:

lol CNN hack basically blames police violence on young Veteran LEOs. You missed your calling Mr. OFD. Should’ve stayed so you could crack some heads in Baltimore.

  19. OFD says:

“Sharpless is in Baltimore with the Mayor. Problem solved!!”

How come Rev. Fartinacan never shows up for these capers? WTF? Probably actually too dignified for that chit.

“… blames police violence on young Veteran LEOs. You missed your calling Mr. OFD. Should’ve stayed so you could crack some heads in Baltimore.”

I was a “young Veteran LEO” in the late 70s and early 80s, homes. I cracked heads with my Monadnock PR-24 “Prosecutor” baton at biker bars and mini-riots on hot summer Friday nights in central MA. Those were the days, my friend, I thought they’d never end. When I wised up, I’d cruise by gang fights in the city on a hot summuh night and laugh and keep going; fuckers out there with bats and car antennas and shivs going at it, Vietnamese vs. Hispanics vs. whoever. Gunfire was after my time, too bad. But during my time it was the cops who lit off their weapons all the time, I have stories galore. There were nights around the July 4th holidays when you could see columns of smoke above the city from huge bonfires in the shit-hole ‘hoods, with mobs of revenants dancing around and howling, I kid you not, to metal, salsa, funk, whatever. Above the city, a bunch of the drunk-ass cops on vay-cay or holiday/personal days would be boozing it up and firing their weapons into the sky, too. Plus nonstop fireworks for weeks before and weeks after. I used to flash back to when I was in fucking SEA; a miracle I didn’t go off my rocker.

Wow, a trip down memory lane there; sorry to get carried away; I just spent four hours on a Form 433-A for the IRS Gestapo and it required a shit-load of researching dates and figures and other numbers. Managed to at least start the assembly of the raised beds; hope to wrap that up tomorrow. Also got my second Baofeng today; the BF-F8HP, and more ARRL books.

Ordered a touch-screen display for my second RaspberryPI and software-directed-radio gizmos for it. Need to cut out some time at some point here to program both Baofengs and my Uniden Bearcat BCD996XT and work on the Technician license. Also have a Morse code practice key on the way.

  20. Lynn McGuire says:

Hey, we got our form 8802 from the IRS yesterday. Only took since August of last year! Scanned and emailed to our clients in Greece so they can pay their invoices for 2014 and 2015. And is there any money in the system to pay us?

  21. OFD says:

“And is there any money in the system to pay us?”

Gee whiz, son, golly; sounds like you been bit by one two many skeeters or you been smokin’ the good stuff down there.

  22. Lynn McGuire says:

I live in a swamp. I’ve been bit by millions of skeeters. It is a daily occurrence around here once the ambient temperature reaches 80 F.

  23. OFD says:

Yikes. You jus’ an ol’ swamp rebel, aintcha?

I have found that the skeeters here in Vermont are about a quarter the size of the ones I grew up with down in MA, and ya can’t hear ’em coming, like I could in down there. But we got us nasty brown deer flies and the black flies this time of year in our swamps. Nothing much here on the bay, though. Wildfowl must do a job on them, and we’ve started to see bats again. Ima gon build some bat houses this year.

And I see we’re playing footsie on the high seas with the Persians again; boy, we just can’t work hard enough to get another goddamned war going, can we? Say, let’s poke the Chinese and the Russians in the eyes again, too. With our $20 trillion deficit, crumbling infrastructure, and second-gen warfare military. And our wunnerful intel, that stopped 9/11…oh wait….but hey, thousands of other potential incidents since then. Or so they tell us. How would we know? We wouldn’t. Top secret. National security. But they need our data to the nth degree 7×24 here at home. Go figgah.

  24. MrAtoz says:

How long before Obola calls me back to Active Duty so he can fight three wars simultaneously. Two of which will be in the US!

  25. OFD says:

Hey, listen, don’t go unless they give you back your old rating plus a get-out-of-jail-free card and let me ride along.
