16:33 – I’ve been covered up. We got a bunch of orders yesterday and overnight, some of which I won’t be able to ship until Saturday or Monday. And I had to mail in our estimated taxes. Grrrrrr.

Yikes. That’s what we figgud, Dr. Bob.

Stay cool. Or warm. Or whatever ya like down there in the tropics.

The final report on the Charlie Hebdo sim operation that was done the other day in Plano is about to come out and I’ll post a link here accordingly. They learned some interesting chit; like, it woulda taken more than just one armed person to stop that attack.

lol! Al Sharpless is all up in arms over the “all White” Oscar nominations. Gonna fire up his NAN and see what can be done. Why does Hollyweird put up with this clown? Blacks make up, what, 13-14% of the population and we all should kowtow. Sharpless should be more worried about the incoming illegals (Black or not they will identify as Latino) which will marginalize his pandering.

At least you weren’t wasting six hours of your time in a jury box today. I had the misfortune of getting picked for a civil suit jury this morning. At the end of the five hours of testimony, I was ready to kill the plaintiff myself. And then the rest of the jury tried to make me the foreman, I had to plead with one of the ladies to do it.

The plaintiff was a music studio owner. Her number one music teacher got an opportunity to join a Muslim country and western band in Sugar Land (I am not kidding!) and go on a tour of the middle east. Paid for by the USA State Department as a cultural envoy. Your tax dollars at work.

So, the music studio owner fired the music teacher when he told her that he would be back in five weeks. He was her number one teacher with 40 students. And when he came back, she hired him back but cut his pay from $32/hr to $18/hr (without telling him). So he quit when he got his next paycheck.

So, 21 of his students quit the music studio when he was fired / quit. So she SUED him for the “value” of those students! She never stated an amount but we guessed it was for $10,000, the max that you can sue for in Texas JP court.

The plaintiff (she) and the dependent (he) represented themselves. She self testified on the stand for three hours with 30 exhibits. Yes, 30 exhibits. We, the jury, did not even look at over half of them. Then he brought in four witnesses to testify, all of whom she crossed viciously. Including her former landlord whom she had sued previously. That did not go well to say the least.

So the old saying is true, Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

Last time I checked, those of African-American descent in the U.S. ran around 12-13% and were being rapidly overtaken by Latinos/Hispanics, already then pushing 13% and up. They are at actual war in the prison systems.

But kowtow, you say? The kowtowing done over the last half-century, legit or not in the beginning, is overboard now, but still as nothing, going by mathematical ratio and percentages as the kowtowing done for the gay/homosexual population, which is probably well under 3%, no matter what various radical agitprop specialists and pervert researchers have claimed. Other, more recent and legit academic researchers, themselves gay, go with the smaller percentage.

It all gets mighty tiresome, boring, tedious and a royal PITA after a while. Asian-Americans got messed over pretty badly in this country over the years, too, and yet we don’t hear them bitching and pissing and moaning and burning their own ‘hoods down, even when their ball team wins a championship.

Sorry you had to go through that jury thang today, Mr. Lynn; I’ve been called up twice in my life, but as luck and circumstances would have it, I moved outta state each time just before I would have served. Not deliberate, just the way things rolled. I have no doubt I would have been immediately disqualified anyway, being a former cop and veteran, and a regular smart-ass. They probably woulda locked ME up.

I skipped the jury duty last time so I owed them. Plus I wanted the experience, I mean, how bad could it be?

Bad, real bad. I left out most of the details. The 30 exhibits were freaking detailed and horrible. Some were actually poster sized. The guy was an independent contractor instead of an employee (I should call the IRS and State on her since she has zero employees). The fact that the judge forced her into mediation for three years with no backing off whatsoever. The teacher guy worked part time for her and part time for another music school which she tried to get him fired from. Etc, etc, etc.

This woman is a future brownshirt.

Fort Bend County is equal flavors of everything (White, Black, Asian, Hispanic). And this is the finest place in the USA to live. At least that is what the County advertising says. 650,000 people now. Supposedly 1,300,000 people by 2025 or 2030 at our current growth rate. Of course I wonder what $20 crude oil is going to do to that.

  7. OFD says:

“This woman is a future brownshirt.”

Sadly, my perception, wrongly or not, is that there are MILLIONS eager to put on that brown shirt in this country. MILLIONS. Many, if not most, from local, state and Fed gummint. But plenty from the corporate world, too, and Ima gon just guess here, go out on a limb, that the majority will be wimmenz now.

Can I get a Amen from Mr. SteveF on this?

    “650,000 people now.”

That’s roughly the pop for this whole state here, and peeps are bookin’ out.

    Lightweights.

    Pussies.

    Quitters.

  8. Lynn McGuire says:

Isn’t Fort Bend County bigger than your state?
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Bend_County,_Texas
    says 886 square miles.

  9. Lynn McGuire says:

Ok, Obola has figured out how to kill off the oil and gas industry:
    http://www.ogj.com/articles/2015/01/white-house-orders-steps-to-curb-oil-and-gas-methane-emissions.html?cmpid=EnlDailyJanuary152015

“The Obama administration set a new goal to cut methane emissions from the oil and gas sector from 2012 levels by 40–45% by 2025, and a set of actions to put the US on a path to achieve this goal. Trade associations across the industry reiterated earlier statements that regulations would try to solve problems which already are being addressed.”

“Methane—natural gas’ primary component—is a potent greenhouse gas, with 25 times the heat-trapping potential of carbon dioxide over 100 years, the White House said in a fact sheet. Methane emissions accounted for nearly 10% of US GHG emissions in 2012, with nearly 30% of that amount coming from oil and gas production, transportation, and distribution, it indicated.”

I am not feeling the Global Warming right now. Suppose to be 36 F in the morning here in the Land of Sugar.

  10. OFD says:

    Vermont is 9,216.66 square miles.

“Suppose to be 36 F in the morning here in the Land of Sugar.”

Lemme get out my hankie now…I weep copious tears for thee, dear Mr. Lynn.

We should be on par with youse on Sunday here, sposed to hit 38-40. I plan to dive naked off the pier.

Oh wait, no I don’t—I’d fracture my skull on the lake ice that’s still there.

  11. OFD says:

OK, here’s a dumbo pooter question:

I’ve been using Pale Moon, a Firefox variant for a few days now. All of a sudden today the Bing search page keeps popping up as a new tab, repeatedly and at random. It’s not listed as a program in Control Panel and I’ve taken it out of the Manage Search Engine lineup. I’ve also run MalwareBytes w/negative results. It has reached that stage of annoyance and infuriating that I would like to have five minutes in a room with the perpetrator/s and beat them to death with a hammer and laugh while they scream.

    Any thoughts?

  12. MrAtoz says:

    Use a real OS.

  13. OFD says:

I found that only Pale Moon kept kicking up the damnable Bing page as another tab so I uninstalled Pale Moon and uninstalled Aviator, both of them started out OK but became intolerable. Now I only have FF with the security add-ons, Chrome and hardly-ever-used IE.

I have the Ubuntu Studio machine and the Mint 17.1 box hooked up to the Windows box via a Tripp-Lite KVM switch. Next to me on now cleared table a 17″ HP Workstation laptop running PC-BSD, on which will run hardened Virtual Box and the Whonix vm running Tor. And the Lenovo IdeaPad now running CrunchBang.

I’ll probably move the Mint machine to my attic workshop/radio shack and hook it up to a huge monitor and ass-kicking sound system.

On edit: Spoke too soon; the fucking Bing page just popped up again, twice. Something is screwy here; I ran MalwareBytes and checked existing program files; it ain’t there. WTF?? Now to run Avast. I hope I never get my hands on the perp/s.

I thought that you were going to wear a speedo?

For the Houston area weather, one has to take into account that Houston is next to the world’s biggest hot tub, The Gulf of Mexico. It really moderates our weather. Until a wicked blue norther comes through. Or a wicked hurricane. Or a real steamy tropical storm that dumps 35 inches of rain on us over 24 hours.

BTW, the Firefox boys and girls just rebid the “Firefox search box”. Google owned this spot for the last ten years and paid Mozilla ten cents??? for each search inquiry. The latest winners of the Firefox search box bid is Yahoo. And Yahoo sits on Bing nowadays so …

  15. OFD says:

Hmmm…it was still popping up. I deleted the bing.xml files I found, checked and double-checked that it wasn’t a choice anymore in any of the browsers, and it doesn’t show up via Control Panel’s Programs and Features to uninstall. Doesn’t show up at all in the Winblows Start page, either.

I’ll check on how it is in Yahoo now. It’s the worst PITA I’ve had to deal with on Winblows for quite a while.
