Hot and humid, although a cool front moved through and yesterday was a bit cooler than usual. And we got intermittent rain throughout the day. Cool is nice, rain isn’t.
I got to my thing, and did my volunteer position… there were some learning pains for at least one of the other volunteers, the Treasurer, who also has to assign selling tables for the event. He missed some. All was dealt with in a friendly enough way, and the first day went pretty smoothly.
Today we start even earlier, and run all day. It’ll be a long day. Standing on the carpet covered concrete event space floor, and carrying in all the participant stuff as well as my own, really made my back hurt. Not ’til I got home though. Today may require some medication. Sunday definitely will.
Did ok, grossed a bit more than I usually do across the whole weekend, so if I sell more stuff, I’m ahead of the game. I think I will sell more, and I’ve been enjoying talking with people. I’ll have a chance to do a lot more of that today too.
Y’all are on your own again today. I’ll check in when I get home.

Coffee is the basis for civilization.
Opening night of football. The local school played at a private school that has a really nice facility. Here is a link to the pictures for those inclined to waste some time on this Saturday.

Safe travels to Germany, Mr. Ray. Say hello to my Grandpa, Hitler, while you are there.*
*Don’t say it out loud or you’ll end up in jail reserved for WHITEY!
Coffee is the basis for civilization.
Nah, it is women making men go hunt and gather before having sex. Bringing back coffee and pastries counts a lot.
Storm cells moving through. I see rain to the south, but 100 and windless here.
Thanks. We depart tomorrow at 09:00, arrive in Germany at 03:00 on Monday. Long drive to Atlanta, then the long plane flight. Working on getting cell service in Germany.
That’s a big part of it. Community may be the second part. The desire to have some sort of power over others is probably the rest.
There’s a pretty good argument that agriculture began to ensure supplies of beer.
“UN Plastics Treaty Collapses”
https://wattsupwiththat.com/2025/08/18/un-plastics-treaty-collapses/
“The United Nations adjourned its plastics summit in Geneva, Switzerland, with no version of a global treaty coming close to reaching “consensus.””
“This is great news for the global economy, as radical proposals sought to place taxes and controls on every phase of plastic production and use.”
“The UN plastics summit tried to follow the climate conference script, where launching into late-night overtime is standard. Bleary eyes, however, induced no parties to alter their positions.”
“Developing nations and the EU were unable to convince manufacturing and petroleum-producing nations to agree on a draft.”
“The anti-plastics nations attempted to kill production via a death by a thousand cuts strategy, by calling for the elimination of important chemicals used in plastics production. The pro-plastics nations saw through the ploy and blocked it.”
“Plastics have been a crucial factor in enabling people at every economic level to afford high-quality manufactured goods. They are essential to societal abundance.”
Like I said before, this is a power play by the UN to get an unending source of taxes to fund their toys and ultra rich lifestyles.
The people running the UN nowadays want to use our children as footstools. We, the USA, need to leave this corrupt organization.
The Colonists have the same goal. The problem is that they are incapable of running a high trust society growing up in a culture where everyone lies to get ahead.
Give me five minutes with the transcript of the girl from the article the other day along with her resume and a copy of the Purdue catalog. I could give you the reason she’s not getting hired to do a real tech job even with a Fancy Lad U diploma.
Home from my show. Weather is nice, beautiful even.
Haven’t counted out yet, but it was a much slower day, although I did make sales. Talked with a lot of people too.
Legs are stiff, feet are sore, back is medicated.
Time for some dinner. And a lot more fluid.

¼ the gross of Friday. Still, just today covered all my costs.
And tomorrow is another ½ day.
Bedtime soon. Once the Tylenol kicks in.
