Sun. Sept. 23, 2018 – long month…

70F and saturated at 8am. I’m sure that will get better if the sun comes out.

This month is dragging by, and yet the days and even weeks seem too short. Weird.

Found 4 dead rats in the attic yesterday. 3 little ones, in various stages, and one big one well aged…

I wasn’t checking the traps since they didn’t get anything for months. Glue pads got them all. I’m going to move the attic cam to an area that shows a path. It will be easier to see in this area too. I’ve got a cam for the garage too, but well, you know… long list.

I’m letting the kids sleep in. We were playing a game and stayed up too late. I woke up after dreaming of my dad. I’d like to go back to sleep, but that won’t happen.

Time is short and the list is long.

added- Florence flooding continues with another confirmed death. 2 hospitals that were open yesterday are closed today. And we have a new TS Kirk in the Atlantic… (from my FEMA brief)

re the Ted Cruz vs Beto New York campaign: Ted Cruz did yeoman’s work in preventing judicial injustice in 2005, telling the International Court of Justice and the Mexican government to get stuffed, clearing the way for the execution of murderous rapists.

Beto New York’s most notable achivement to date, by contrast, is traveling to coastal states to ask deep-pockets socialists for money.

-blink- I didn’t even think of calling him Butto. I’m mortified because mocking someone’s name is usually my schtick.

Beam me up. Will we ever get to TS Spock?

Must be off your feed. Take a nap, couple of vitamins, and get back to work.

Ugh. I have, in fact, been up since 0300. No good reason for it, not like a few mornings ago, when the neighbor’s ex-wife came by to scream at him in the driveway at 0230. (One-sided screaming; his voice was low and unstressed the entire time, and she ended it by slamming her car door and peeling out.) That was a rough day at work.

I call him Robert Francis. Anything close to that B- name is feeding a lie about his ethnicity.

Depending on the TV station where the commercial airs, Robert Francis will pronounce the B- name with and without a Spanish accent, much like MJ Hegar (Round Rock/Temple/Belton Congressional candidate) hides her tattoos depending on the targeted commercial audience.

Lots of California money and media savvy at work in Texas this year.

Found another little rat stuck to a glue trap in the garage.

Hope that means I’m finally getting toward the end of them.

Cut the grass. Got the forms off my gennie slab and only chipped part of one corner off. Right in front too. Bummer.

After I catch my breath, I’m going to start moving the gennie to the slab. This will involve a pallet jack, a couple of pieces of plywood to roll on, and a lot of grunt.

Meanwhile, I’m going to see about booting into Chromium on my daughter’s lappy. She might like that better if it matches the school and the school IT guy, might too. (He’s either incompetent or a liar, and I’ve got it in an email.)

I saw a MJ Hegar commercial the other day. “Who’s this doper?” was my first impression. I haven’t spent much time in Temple or Belton but she fits right in with my impression of the area.

    Embrace the power of “and”.

  10. Nick Flandrey says:

    Cat (a, “and “, b)

Well,. I got motivated to move the gennie. Blue sky at the moment, but patchy thunderclouds in the distance….

So. Gennie is in place on its pad. I’m soaked thru with sweat, and need to cool down. 91F in the sun, but only 60%RH. Feels real nice in the shade. Too bad the gennie is in the sun.

Time to let the quart of water get soaked in…

Good night ! What is wrong with people ? I just had a guy in a brand new Mercedes E350 (paper plate) honk at me to get out of his way in the HEB parking lot as I was pushing my buggy out to my truck. Not just one honk either but four honks. BTW, the horn sounded like it was reused from a Smart car.

Yup, we’ve got a big lie and/or invented memory going on here.

I’m getting grumpy enough that if some prick did that to me his car would be eating a grocery cart. If he wants to keep on, I have a baseball bat and a mitt in the truck.

Barbwire wrapped around the bat is optional. 🙂

A long article that pulls a lot of stuff together. Well, it makes sense to me. If I’m wrong, tell me how. Cussing is ok, calling me names is not.

My wife calls it “Ambien Eyes”. She’s treated a *lot* of SpecOps pilots for severe Ambien dependency. The Pentagon buys dosages for the troops which are not available on the civilian market.

  16. paul says:

I’m not sure what Ambien is.

I take a couple/three aspirin once in a while and the generic sudafed knock off pink pills for sinus congestion that you have to show ID at HEB to buy when it feels like my eye is going to pop out of my head. Yeah, that is a messed up run on sentence.

Because meth. Whatever the heck that stuff is. Speed ya smoke? That’s crazy and very stupid. As far as I know, you get one pair of lungs.

Anyway. About to hit 61 in a month. I’m not on anything. BP and all the rest is just fine. But that’s my drugs. Oh, add on plenty of vitamin beer….

I need to quickly leave the room. Penny girl dog just cut a manly sounding fart. I’m impressed by the sound but I don’t want to smell it. 🙂

BREAKING: Senate Democrats Investigate a New Allegation of Sexual Misconduct, from Brett Kavanaugh’s College Years

Wow! What a surprise! And what exquisite timing!

How much of this BS will the American people tolerate before the torches and pitchforks make an appearance?

  19. mediumwave says:

UPDATE: Another Kananaugh accuser comes after Dem lawyer persuades her she’s a victim. Excerpt:

“First, Ramirez says she was completely inebriated when the misconduct supposedly occurred.

“Second, she told the New Yorker she wasn’t certain what happened until “after six days of talking with her attorney” a former elected Democrat. According to Farrow and Mayer, “in her initial conversations with The New Yorker, [Ramirez] was reluctant to characterize Kavanaugh’s role in the alleged incident with certainty.” But one can do plenty of brain washing in six days.”

Her story is even stranger than Fords. And none of her friends remember the incident, just like Ford’s incident.

I have had it with these fake memories.

  21. mediumwave says:

Four Reasons the New Accusations Against Kavanaugh Are Weaker Than Ford’s

    The final paragraphs:

“We’ve seen this story before. It seems obvious now that once Christine Blasey Ford’s story fell apart that the forces trying to stop Kavanaugh would convince someone else to come forward with an accusation in the hopes of establishing a pattern of behavior. Ramirez herself said that supporting Ford’s claim motivated her decision to name Kavanaugh.

“Democrats will stop at nothing to stop Kavanaugh. They will destroy an innocent man if they have to. This is yet another dirty trick that should signal to the Senate GOP that the longer they wait, the more bogus accusations will be made to postpone Kavanaugh’s confirmation until after the midterm elections.”

Let the Dems hold their dog and pony show this Thursday, then vote and be done with it!

  23. brad says:

Well, you have to give Ford’s names witnesses credit for being honest. Especially this last one, Ms. Keyser, who is apparently still her friend – it would have been very easy for Ms Keyser herself to invent a memory of said party.

Also on the bright side: it means that this isn’t any sort of planned conspiracy (or else a very incompetent one), because otherwise the conspirators would have made sure the “witnesses” were ready to toe the party line.

I wonder if Ms. Ford is aware of the fallibility of human memory? It’s becoming pretty clear that she has, indeed, invented this memory.

Of course, that not having panned out, someone has found another bizarre allegation. I swear, these confirmation hearings are more of a circus ever time.

  24. Nick Flandrey says:

    “The process is the punishment.”

If they succeed in setting the bar at 36 year old unsubstantiated allegations of non-crime, wth will ever want to run if they know they’re facing that?

Did you notice that super light weight = 260 lbs? My driveway has enough of an uphill slant to it that I’d have trouble rolling that generator up to the garage. If it turns out we need a generator for more than sporadic use, I’m buying another EU2200i and the parallel cord.

Yes, I did. It might be better to get three of the 2200i models. But how to hook them up to run one of my A/C units ? My 3 ton pulls 20 amp 230 V to start and 11 amps to run.
