But like the rest of the days, hot and humid. If the weather front sticks around it might be wet and a bit cooler, which would be welcome. Lots of people around Houston got rain yesterday but all I got were a few sprinkles. Barely enough to get the pavement wet. The grass is pretty crunchy and brown where the sprinklers don’t hit it.
I did some stuff on the list, but mostly computer stuff, and a lot of barely productive time was spent on our site outage. Still no idea why wordpress puked, or why it recovered. I hadn’t made any changes at all, and if it was a plug in, IDK why any issue resolved itself either. I did clean up some minor things like broken links and typos on rarely visited pages. And I always learn something when I am forced to poke around. I should spend a little time on my hobby site considering we just had our big annual event. I’ll add that to a list…
Today I’m sleeping in a bit, then I’ll do some things. What things will depend on weather, but the shop or stuff around the house will probably be top of mind.
Stack useful things.

Happy Skynet Day!
Happy Skynet Saturday!
Brunch with W1’s family, then the next leg of our travel homewards.
Going as far as the BOL today. I will offload some of the holiday impedimenta there, including my two magnificent “new” Swiss Army toolboxes, plus our bicycles, bike accessories, and the bike carrier.
Sad that the holidays are winding-down, but soooo looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight. I have identical mattresses and slatted under-frames at both base and the BOL, so each is my own bed!
I learned a new thing today. Thanks!
This one time at band camp…
Windows on Arm still depends on Qualcomm’s junk CPUs.
Meanwhile, Chipzilla hasn’t been idle with 18A up and running, and the new Linux 7.2 kernel enables Wildcat Lake SOC embedded systems at 8 GB where that kind of RAM makes Windows puke.
I have a Chineseium off brand 8 GB Wildcat Lake laptop running as a science experiment now. The goal this weekend is to get a Linux 7.2 kernel into the Fedora 44 install.
The laptop does have a Windows 11 Pro license, but that’s fairly useless.
