By on February 17th, 2015 in Barbara, news

08:13 – We got about what was forecast. An inch or two of snow, with sleet and freezing rain on top of it. Barbara just left for work. The neighborhood streets are a mess, but she should be able to make it out in 4WD. The main roads are plowed and salted. The high today is to hover right around freezing, which’ll melt some of the ice just enough to make things really slippery.

I’m writing and working on kits today.

14:56 – I see that the Danes have finally named the dead gunman who murdered two people and wounded several others in two attacks in Copenhagen at a free speech event and a synagogue. I was surprised to learn that this piece of filth’s name was Omar Abdel Hamid El-Hussein, which sounds muslim to me. Even our own president, Barrack Hussein Obama–which also sounds muslim to me–tells us that these repeated attacks are random and have nothing to do with islam. It’s obviously just coincidence that the victims are those who have criticized or ridiculed islam and even more coincidental that these terrorists’ bullets seem to hit a lot of Jews.

I also see that Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, is encouraging European Jews to relocate to Israel, where they’ll be safe(r). Netanyahu is being roundly criticized by European leaders for his remarks. Apparently, those leaders have forgotten that European Jews have already been the victims of one Holocaust within living memory and want them to stay put for round two. I think any European Jew, including UK Jews, who can possibly emigrate would be crazy not to do so. If not to Israel, then to Canada or the US.

Back before 9/11, I remember talking with and exchanging emails with my late friend, Bo Leuf, who was living at the time in Malmö, Sweden. According to Bo, even 15 years ago the muslims were turning Sweden into a hellhole. Cops were afraid to patrol areas of the cities that were infested by muslims. Swedish men were being attacked and Swedish women raped by these scum, and nothing was ever done about it. It wasn’t even reported by the press. Here it is 15 years later and this plague has spread and worsened dramatically. The western democracies treat muslims as being above the law. In many cases, literally. Rather than being prosecuted for their crimes in national and local secular courts, these criminals are often turned over to shariah “courts”, which of course don’t punish them at all.

I just wonder how long it will be before the lid blows off. People in western democracies know that their “leaders” are lying to them. They know that islam is the problem. They know that a high percentage of muslims are criminal scum, and that most muslims who are not active terrorists are would-be terrorists, or at least sympathizers. Of course there are secular “muslims” who don’t actually believe in islam, but they’re a tiny minority. And when the lid finally does blow off, those secular “muslims” will be tarred with the same brush. Perhaps literally.

Ralph Peters wrote a book about Europe expelling all of the Muslims and subsequent world war against them. He presented the operation in a very dark light after dirty bombs in ten major cities; Berlin, Paris, Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam, etc.

The Canadian cops/military nipped a planned terror op, so we are told, in the bud the other day, over in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Last nooz item I saw had blanked out the names of the four arrested suspects. Gee, I wonder why. They had stocked up on the only arms they could get in Canada, apparently, sporting rifles, and were allegedly about to hit a shopping mall there. Some may remember that I wonder periodically here why there haven’t been more of these sorts of attacks and suicide bombers here in North Murka; maybe we’ll start seeing them now.

Reports keep saying the media REFUSE to name the suspects, and here’s the standard-issue MSM report:

“I just wonder how long it will be before the lid blows off.”

Mr. Lynn’s link to that book on Amazon shows one way the lid could blow off, literally; light off dirty nukes in a few cities. Or do a series of suicide bomber/mass shooting attacks at shopping malls and sporting events. That will get folks riled real good, and they’ll SCREAM for the gummint to blast the solar system to oblivion in order to stop it. As will the top nabobs who run the global economy; very bad for business, you see. A few if these incidents and there will be lynchings all over the country; I’d bail immediately if I was a muslim. Just like those Jews should bail outta Europe; it oughta be clear to them by now, at long last, that they’re not wanted there AT ALL. Head for Israel and hope that the IDF and Mossad and Israeli nukes can stem the tide. I’d say come here, too, but our record on that score is not really pure as the driven snow, either.

We’ve turned on the oil heat again here, experiment over. We figure that once we finish the remaining windows and the two doors, we’ll be in real good shape with just the wood stove. Adding insulation to the attic and back porch will be the frosting on the cake here.

Next step, after finishing that and the living room ceiling is a manual pump alternative for the well, water storage containers, and ramping up our lighting devices and supplies. Heat, light and wottuh. All while building up the food storage, with meds, and home defense.

I used to know a guy who was part of the Jewish immigration from Russia relief effort. He maintained that ten million Jews left Russia in the 1990s and 80% of them went to the USA. The others went to Israel and most of the men joined the army. BTW, in order to be qualified for the immigration from Russia funding, all one had to was remember that a forebear up to six generations back was Jewish. No documentation required.

Nothing like we’re going to get. In the San Joaquin Valley (central Calif) we already have no-burn days for much of the winter. Now they’re talking about banning fossil fuel cars in 20 years.

“Italy Fears ISIS Invasion From Libya”
    http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/02/17/italy-fears-isis-invasion-from-libya.html

“ROME — Last weekend in Italy, as the threat of ISIS in Libya hit home with a new video addressed to “the nation signed with the blood of the cross” and the warning, “we are south of Rome,” Italian prime minister Matteo Renzi shuttered up the Italian embassy in Tripoli and raised his fist with the threat of impending military action. Never mind that Italy has only 5,000 troops available that are even close to deployable, according to the defense ministry. Or that the military budget was cut by 40 percent two years ago, which has kept the acquisition of 90 F-35 fighter jets hanging in the balance and left the country combat-challenged to lead any mission—especially one against an enemy like the Islamic State.”

“Whether the time is right or not, there is no question that there is a palpable tension in Italy over the ISIS threat—Libya is just 109 miles away from the island of Lampedusa and 300 miles from Sicily—made worse by a 64 percent increase in illegal migrant arrivals by sea since last year. In all of 2014, more than 170,000 people arrived from Libya and Turkey, the highest number ever recorded. Last weekend, as the embassy staff made their way to Italy on a mercantile ship, 2,164 migrants left the same Libyan shores en route to Sicily. ”

A country of sixty million people only has 5,000 deployable troops?

So when will they issue weapons to the populace?

  6. SteveF says:

Most of Europe has been free-riding on the American military budget since 1990. And sneering at the militaristic Americans who have been keeping them safe. And using the confiscatory levels of taxation to pay for “free” healthcare, inflated pensions, and other social programs. And sneering at Americans for not having those programs.

If you were to deduce that I would sympathize not at all if Italy were conquered by a few thousands ISIS “militants”, you could pat yourself on the back for a 100% accurate deduction.

  9. MrAtoz says:

Ya just gotta laugh when the State Department won’t call Muslim Terrorists, terrorists. Mooslims get a pass. Let’s talk about poverty and beating ISIS with “jobs” while the other hand drops bombs, drones and sends 4,000 more troops in. And now Odooshnozzle wants to quadruple the number of poor Syria refugees immigrating to the US. So, let me get this straight, bomb the fuck out of them, bring them to the US, give them Mr. OFD’s house, jobs, welfare, etc. Why the fuck can’t I get that.

  10. OFD says:

“…I would sympathize not at all if Italy were conquered by a few thousands ISIS “militants”…”

Hell, they allowed themselves to be ruled first by Mussolini’s fascists, and then by communists, not to mention la cosa nostra in the south, so I doubt the ISIS butchers will faze them much. Until the heads start rolling…and those mobile burn cages likewise…

“So, let me get this straight, bomb the fuck out of them, bring them to the US, give them Mr. OFD’s house, jobs, welfare, etc. Why the fuck can’t I get that.”

Well, clearly you DO get it, MrAtoz. Enlarging a bit on that page from Mr. SteveF’s playbook: imagine if you will, a “civilization” whose rulers are working assiduously to drive it to ruin, even if it cost them, in the end, their own lives and children, though they may not think so now. What would they be doing differently, pray tell?

The late James Burnham wrote his book “Suicide of the West” a half-century ago, and man, does it ever ring a bell now:

    http://www.amazon.com/Suicide-West-Meaning-Destiny-Liberalism/dp/0895268221

What it boils down to is that our worst enemies are not necessarily dune-coon hadji fuckers spawned from caves and twisted madrassahs in the sandbox countries; they sit in plush boardrooms in Mordor and Babylon-on-the-Hudson, and wear thousand-dollar suits. Just as it wasn’t the dumb-as-a-bag-of-hammers Soviets during the “Cold War.” Sure, those guys could and did do us damage, but it was our fucking chickenhawk scumbag junta back here that stirred up those hornets’ nests in the first place.

And the junta has us responding to stuff just the opposite from how we should be handling these situations: Second-Generation Warfare against Fourth- and Fifth-Generation enemies. How stupid is that? What was I saying about the Soviets’ stupidity? The Russians now laugh ruefully at us; we’re tottering down the same road they were on for seventy years. Only we’re accelerating, and should have the job done in half the time. Rule by organized criminal gangs and foreign invaders.

“Another Perspective : The Case Against IMMINENT Economic Collapse”
    http://www.thesurvivalistblog.net/perspective-case-economic-collapse/

“I’m not going to tell you that things are fine. They are not. The financial collapse writers are well informed about the problems of excessive debt, fiat money, and deficit spending that politically cannot be stopped nor solved now that the benefit corrupted voters can out-vote those of us who want government to stop these suicidal redistribution schemes.”

“But they have not thought out clearly the specifics of how and why it’s so difficult for an actual collapse to occur. Historically, no nation has ever collapsed financially outside of the destruction of war—none (even the so-called “collapse of the Soviet Union” was a carefully crafted deception, as outlined in this piece). Only when people are thrust into the most abject circumstances of survival, such as in WWII in Europe with the combination of allied bombing and the Russian invasion does an economy cease to function and turn into a mob of pillaging people.”

Yup, I agree on the case against imminent economic collapse. I sure do not like his stance on a future nuclear war with Russia and China though. Nuclear wars suck.

“I think any European Jew, including UK Jews, who can possibly emigrate would be crazy not to do so. If not to Israel, then to Canada or the US.”

If I were a European Jew I’d want to migrate to North America, but would rather stay in Europe than move to Israel, which I think is a kinda dangerous place to be.

  13. Robert Bruce Thompson says:

    http://www.thesurvivalistblog.net/perspective-case-economic-collapse/

Yeah, this guy is saying what I’ve said here before. He misses on only one thing: the euro isn’t anything like the dollar. The US controls its own currency. The eurozone nations do not. The US can create as many dollars out of nothing as it needs to. The individual eurozone nations cannot.

  14. Robert Bruce Thompson says:

Israel, which I think is a kinda dangerous place to be.

Exactly, which is why I referred to Israel as “safe(r)”. If I were a European Jew, I’d want to emigrate to North America. First choice, the US. Second choice, Canada.

  15. Miles_Teg says:

My point was that if I was a European Jew and I couldn’t get in to Oz, US or Kanuckistan I would stay put rather than go to Israel.

  16. Robert Bruce Thompson says:

Not me. In Europe, Jews are a small minority, unarmed and disorganized. In Israel, Jews are in control and anything but unarmed or disorganized.

I understand what you’re saying about them being surrounded in Israel by hostile muslims, but muslims are hopeless militarily and Israelis are anything but. The Israelis have nukes–I hope lots of them–and aren’t afraid to use them if they need to. Obama has taught them that they can no longer depend on the US for cover–diplomatically or militarily–which makes them all the more dangerous to attack.

  17. Don Armstrong says:

If I were Jewish, looking to emigrate, I’d be thinking real hard about New Zealand.
Australia is okay, but the percentage of Muslim population is getting pretty high, whereas in NZ it’s quite low. Jews can be comfortable in either nation – about the same proportion in both national populations. New Zealand’s firearm laws are more rational than Australia’s.

Australia ranks VERY highly for quality of life on most measures, but Switzerland and the Nordic nations, and any of the largely-European-population members and ex-members of the Commonwealth (including the USA and Ireland), rate moderately highly. On many measures Germany and Austria rate highly too, but for some reason not-so-much for Jews. There are also some South American nations that rate fairly highly if you bring your own money (e.g. Chile, Costa Rica), but for Jews I’d shy clear of countries with a majority of Catholic population. Given that, I’d be looking at nations with a low proportion of Muslims in the population, and that bumps NZ up high. Also the USA, which by what I’m sure is a reporting anomaly considering the high-fashion Black Muslims, and the recent influx of legal “refugees” from Liberia, Somalia, Lebanon, and other Muslim nations, rates a low proportion of Muslim population. The USA also has an inadequate and unjust social welfare structure compared to the rest of the world, and people who are used to a better system should be taking that into account.

  18. Robert Bruce Thompson says:

I just wish our social welfare structure was much more inadequate and unjust. In fact, I wish we didn’t have any at all.

  19. OFD says:

” Only when people are thrust into the most abject circumstances of survival, such as in WWII in Europe with the combination of allied bombing and the Russian invasion does an economy cease to function and turn into a mob of pillaging people.””

We’ll see. We have the examples of history, but we are also on new historical ground, as far as I’m concerned.

But I certainly hope y’all are right, after all, and we don’t go down that road to collapse and another civil war. By that time, most of us here will be gone, anyway.

  20. Lynn McGuire says:

I just wish our social welfare structure was much more inadequate and unjust. In fact, I wish we didn’t have any at all.

But I thought that you were highly in favor of Basic Income?

  21. Lynn McGuire says:

The USA also has an inadequate and unjust social welfare structure compared to the rest of the world, and people who are used to a better system should be taking that into account.

You do know that the USA is the third largest population in the world? And that the USA is going broke quickly? And that the socialist systems in Europe are failing?

I would be very careful about running a social experiment in the USA. You might be surprised at the results. Might look a lot like France.

  22. Robert Bruce Thompson says:

But I thought that you were highly in favor of Basic Income?

I am, but only because I want to placate mobs carrying torches and pitchforks. If I had my way, it’d be natural selection all the way.

  23. OFD says:

Yo, Dr. Bob, them mobs have upgraded from circa 1300 A.D. and now sport “assault rifles,” haha, and shotguns, and an ocean of handguns, along with all the ammo. Some of them may even have larger ordnance, just sayin’.

Speaking of gunz and chit, a big shout out to MrAtoz, in Lost Wages; yo, son, you got a regular shootin’ gallery out there, aincha?

    http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2015/02/daniel-zimmerman/irresponsible-gun-owner-day-brandon-myers/#more-350156

These specimens would likely be typical examples of any future mob members…just sayin’….

  24. Robert Bruce Thompson says:

Not to call them birdbrains, but I suspect most of a mob would comprise people dumber than Roadrunner. At least Roadrunner had the sense to avoid the “Free Birdseed”.

  25. OFD says:

Yes, they’re dumber than a bag of hammers, but they still got the firepower, sorta like those monkeys in that video of African soldiers somewhere giving them AK’s to play with, and then the monkeys, of course, spray the landscape and the imbecile soldiers are flopping around like carp on a hot deck.

And was it really Roadrunner the dumb one? I thought it was Wile, who kept up the stupidity.

In more fun nooz from the world of firearms, more potential mob members, dusted on meth or whatever….as many of them likely would be, either that or booze or some other dope or combinations thereof…that insanity on top of their usual insanity on top of stupidity and ignorance, combined with firearms….should be quite a show…

Don’t forget “Tupac” got blasted here. I’ve not listened to music since then. lol

    Bye-bye, mister hip-hop guy…

Then we have this startling and stunning and stupefying nooz flash:

  30. Lynn McGuire says:

I am, but only because I want to placate mobs carrying torches and pitchforks. If I had my way, it’d be natural selection all the way.

I think that Basic Income is only delaying the inevitable. I am wondering when someone will write the story “The day the EBT cards died”.

That day the mob starts carrying crew served weapons, run very far away …

  32. OFD says:

Most mob drones couldn’t possibly operate crew-served weapons in any appreciable mil-spec capacity. We’ll simply pick them off. Think: sniper teams. Think: triangulation. Think: targeted assassinations of ringleaders. Etc.

    Yo, Mr. Lynn; 45th! state???

    http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2015/02/robert-farago/guns-less-chipotle-ninjas-texas-set-become-45th-open-carry-state/#more-350176

  33. Lynn McGuire says:

    Yo, Mr. Lynn; 45th! state???

I literally have no idea. Texas has been a permit-less long gun open carry state forever. It looks like short guns will require a permit if we get open carry on those.

I am not even sure of the legal difference between a long gun and a short gun.

  34. Robert Bruce Thompson says:

A long gun is longer. A short gun is shorter.

  35. Ray Thompson says:

A long gun is longer. A short gun is shorter.

    Relatively speaking.

  36. SteveF says:

You can get in trouble for waving your short arm around in public.

  37. OFD says:

Then, to muddy the waters, and wasn’t Muddy Waters great? We have the rifle calibers in pistols now with various stock and grip configs so the semi-auto models look like machine pistols. Are those long or short guns?

    What about a sawed-off shotgun?

How about a foot-long Buntline? Or 14″ Thompson Contender with suppressor attached?
