09:02 – Still no word on the house. If it happens, it happens. Otherwise, we’ll just keep looking.

Someone mentioned that muslims consider “moslem” to be the most offensive way to label them, so I’ll try to use that form from now on. A month or so ago, the MSM were full of articles about tens of thousands of moslem invaders overrunning Europe, although of course they referred to them as “migrants” and “refugees” rather than calling them what they actually are, invaders. Over the last few weeks, such reports have almost disappeared from the MSM. One might almost believe that the invasion had failed and all the moslems had returned home.

My private correspondents in Europe tell a different story. In their view, western European governments have failed to stem this invasion, so ordinary citizens have had to take up the slack. They see these invaders for what they are, and don’t want them in Europe. Firearms purchases are way up, which is extraordinary given how hard it is in Europe for private citizens to buy guns. Ordinary Europeans don’t want these scum to settle in Europe, and seem to be taking steps on their own to make it very clear to the scum that they’re not welcome. Even Scandanavians, who may be the most laid-back people on the planet, are beginning to take violent action against the scum. I expect to see the violence increase. If their governments won’t put a stop to this invasion, ordinary citizens have no alternative to doing it themselves. Either that, or get out. I’ve heard from more than a few Europeans who plan to emigrate to the US, Canada, or Australia. It’s interesting that all of the popular destinations are in English-speaking countries.

11:55 – We’re just back from a very small Costco run. First time we’ve ever gotten out for less than $100, IIRC, other than maybe a time or two when we went just because Paul and Mary needed to make a run.

About the only prepping-related stuff we picked up were two 6-packs of Kirkland gallons of bottled water, a couple cans of Country Time Lemonade, and 1,152 ziplock bags, 1,000 sandwich size easy-open ones, and 152 gallon freezer. Barbara drinks the Kirkland water, and I covet the bottles for storing bulk staples. They’re heavy PET, and the mouths are wide enough to fill easily. They take forever to dry naturally, but it’s easy enough to add a pound or so of dry rice and shake it around to absorb moisture.

We decided to use those sandwich bags to package most of the seeds for the kits. They’re large enough to hold up to a pound of seeds each. We’re double-bagging and taping the bags closed to prevent any problems if they take a hit in shipping. We’ll enclose those bags in heavy foil-laminate Mylar bags, which should keep everything secure.

I’ve gotten several emails about lib/prog family members or friends who’ve purchased firearms and started to store food and other emergency supplies. What must it take to make it obvious even to progs that things aren’t going well? What must it take to get a prog to buy a gun? Geez.

Nice observation Dave. I hadn’t thought about that before but you’re absolutely right.

I still can’t understand why the leadership in the western countries seem hellbent on destroying them. I understand liberal guilt and all but suicide seems to be taking it to the extreme. Perhaps they believe that they will be exempt from the consequences but it doesn’t take much intelligence to figure out that if everything else falls apart they’ll have no where to run.

We often dismiss conspiracy theories as nonsense, but the total buy-in from just about every western country makes me wonder if someone is pulling their string. It seems crazy that all of these individuals could simultaneously conclude that the best action is to overrun their countries with the worlds swill.

What an opportunity to sell arms in Europe under the table. Somebody is going to get very rich.

  6. nick says:

Yeah, just a bit of schadenfreude as open welcoming multiculti europe suddenly finds that mooslims are not good neighbors……

Anything that causes euros to buy guns can’t be all bad, right?

It reminds me of something I saw during the Rodney King riots in LA. Driving thru Hollywood, surrounded by the burnt out shells of formerly vibrant businesses, and I see a line out the door of a gun store. LINE OUT THE DOOR. I heard from friends that customers were OUTRAGED that they had to wait 14 days to get a gun. Well folks, you voted for it, because after all, who ever needs a gun RIGHT THIS MINUTE?

Well they didn’t learn from it, nothing changed did it?

    Certainly not in California.

  8. OFD says:

I don’t give a fig for what happens in Israel; it’s none of our business, but it’s become the proverbial tar baby that we’re stuck to while we’ve shoveled many billions in cash and arms to them while simultaneously funneling the same to the surrounding moslem shit-holes, countries run by totalitarian pigs. Yet politicians back here routinely have a knee-jerk response to any criticism of Israel and are deathly terrified of being labeled as “anti-Semitic.” Screw all that; let all those bastards over there work it out on their own, and let’s get out of there once and for all and stop sending them money and weapons.

We’ve got an overloaded plate right here to deal with.

And the same goes for Europe; they made their bed, let them lie in it. Ditto the cities and blue areas over here.

  9. dkreck says:

Maybe Arnold should go back and take over. Drive out the moslem hoards. Lets face it, Europe has a long history…

  10. Robert Bruce Thompson says:

No matter what, we’re going to be seeing major changes in Europe. I just hope they have another Charles Martel waiting in the wings.

  11. OFD says:

“I just hope they have another Charles Martel waiting in the wings.”

Or a Don John of Austria or John Sobieski…

When we have potential commanders like them, we cashier them or have them assassinated.

  12. dkreck says:

DT to be the major costume this Halloween. I have my hair(wig), Make America Great Hat and DT pin all set to go, all via Amazon. We took Lyft downtown last Friday (no I wasn’t in costume) and we were talking when my daughter said I should answer the door in the DT outfit. I said in our neighborhood I could just tell them, ‘Sorry you will all have to go back home.’ She elbowed me but our hispanic driver laughed. About 90% of the trick or treaters come up to our house from the barrio a few blocks below us. I have both cheap and good candy(the the actual neighbor kids, regardless of race).

  13. OFD says:

I will be in costume as a nasty old ‘Nam veteran gun nut and we usually only get two or three kids, tops, at our front door on All Hallows Eve. Might be more this year as the next door trollop has at least one toddler and a new family with two teenage grrls has moved in a couple houses up. And my other neighbor’s grandkids might stop by. I have old candy from last year still, lol. Maybe I’ll be a sap and get some new stuff.

  14. Lynn says:

    What is a DT?

On Halloween, at least half of the kids are from the barrios in Fort Bend County. We treat them equally in terms of candy distribution.

  15. Robert Bruce Thompson says:

    DT = Donald Trump

We also treat kids equally, and have done so since we were married. On Halloween, we keep the house dark and don’t pass out any candy to anyone. I don’t think it’s a good idea to teach kids to use threats to extort goodies.

  16. nick says:

I have ‘good candy’ and ‘bad candy’. The bad candy is regular hard candy or cheap generic. Anyone over about 14 gets the ‘bad candy.’

Anyone else gets the good stuff, mini candy bars, name brands, etc.

We also give out glow stick bracelets, until they’re gone. And this year, we’ll be giving out cheap little toys, like matchbook cars, and plastic dinosaurs. I got a big bag of small toys at a sale.

Halloween is a big decorating day for us, bigger than Christmas. Lights, fog, sound, animated props, all the good stuff. We try to be more funny than scary. I always have people taking pix with the displays.

We usually get 100-150 kids, mostly from outside our neighborhood, but at least at this house they don’t literally bus them in.

Couple bags of candy, package of bracelets, and this year, about $10 worth of trinkets. Less than $75 bucks total, and we have fun with it.

Which reminds me, I’ve got errands to run, and displays to set up. With the rain and my vacation trip, I’m way behind on decor…..

  17. dkreck says:

    What is a DT?

Yeah that’s what we’re all wondering. An asshat a big ego and a lot of money?

  18. Lynn says:

    DT = Donald Trump

Thanks. I’ve got a migraine today and thinking very sluggishly.

  19. dkreck says:

Well I could say they’re just kids and I should treat them equally, but then I’d sound like a democrat.

  20. Lynn says:

Maybe Arnold should go back and take over. Drive out the moslem hoards. Lets face it, Europe has a long history…

Arnold is from Austria. There are no long gun laws there.

“Texas request to buy guns tops 1 million for year”
    http://blog.chron.com/narcoconfidential/2015/10/texas-request-to-buy-guns-tops-1-million-for-year/

Texas is only behind Kalifornia in terms of gun buying. Imagine, the number of guns being bought is in order of population size for the top two most populous states. Who would have thought?

  21. dkreck says:

And possibly the two most invaded states.

  22. Lynn says:

And possibly the two most invaded states.

Yup. There are 1,000 people per day moving into Texas right now. I wonder how many of them are coming from the south?

  23. Lynn says:

    What is a DT?

Yeah that’s what we’re all wondering. An asshat a big ego and a lot of money?

I think that Trump is the only person who has a chance of beating Hillary. If she wins, I suspect that we will get it good and hard. I hope that you enjoy that APC on your street of DHS operatives going house to house seizing guns, food, and anything else that they want to grab. Of course, that could never happen here in the USA …

  24. Lynn says:

BTW, I am now using ublock to block ads in my firefox. I have had it with the ads causing my firefox browser to continuously lock up and even crash.

  25. OFD says:

” I hope that you enjoy that APC on your street of DHS operatives going house to house seizing guns, food, and anything else that they want to grab.”

They’ll need a LOT more “operatives” and APCs to accomplish even a tiny bit of that caper. And examples will likely be made on both sides, so we’ll see how that works out.

But maybe if we just rush out and vote for DT or Anybody who might defeat Cankles everything will be alright, if not exactly swell. (if we don’t, anything bad that happens is our fault, of course).

Let’s not forget the Electoral College, folks; the pop vote is one thing, but remember the EC? The hanging chads? The rulers probably got some new shenanigans in store for us this time round.

Reminds me of when the ballots coming back from Floriduh had Patrick Buchanan winning West Palm Beach (a heavily Jewish enclave) and he laughed and said “I can guarantee you that those folks didn’t vote for me!”

  26. Dave says:

One has to wonder if the progressives are afraid of thugs with guns, or the four million people in the NRA with guns. They’re so out of contact with reality that I suspect the latter.

  27. MrAtoz says:

lol! Even Limburger says the fix is in for Cankles.

RUSH: So how does the budget deal pave the way for Hillary Clinton?  Folks, it’s real simple.  Over half of any Republican candidate’s campaign arsenal has just been neutered.  The Republican Party cannot campaign by running around blaming the Democrats for destroying budget, for overspending, for threatening the very fabric economically of the country.  They can’t do it.  This is the Republican budget deal that Barack Obama cannot wait to sign.

  28. MrAtoz says:

    Trump 2016!

  29. OFD says:

“…or the four million people in the NRA with guns.”

That’s just the official paid membership; there are LOTS of people who join for the one-year deal or do so when they buy certain firearms or related products, and then there are LOTS more people who own guns but haven’t joined the NRA; the membership could easily be doubled or tripled if peeps got off their duffs and sent in whatever measly membership fee, I don’t even know what it is anymore, probably 10 or 20 bucks. The price of a couple of packs of ciggies or a case of shitty Murkan lager.

Latest semi-official numbers I’ve seen, vetted by the truthaboutguns site, is there are roughly close to 400 million firearms out there. I’m guessing there are FAR more. Sales figures and background checks are rising steadily, and they will again if and when it looks like Cankles is getting in. She’ll win the award as Gun Salesperson of the Decade and easily beat Obola’s figure.

Progs and most libturds won’t last long. They might buy a few guns but won’t train and won’t maintain them or learn them inside and out. Very few indeed are veterans or have combat or street cop experience. Thugs will roll right over them.

    “The Republican Party cannot campaign…”

Stop right there, Rush. That’s what is really simple, folks. They’re not a dime’s worth of difference from the Dems in any respects that matter. They have zero intention of even trying to fix the multiple ails which afflict us. The Dems wanted Ryan as Speaker, third in line to the Prez? They got him. Big surprise. So we’ll have Cankles, an unknown VP, and Ryan in charge of the country. Feel better?

  30. Dave says:

NRA membership is $35 per year, and there is currently a sale for $25 a year.

  31. OFD says:

OK, so three packs of cancer sticks or two cases of crappy Murkan piss-wotta. We were down to 2 million at one point but successive Presidencies of Larry Klinton and his lovely wife Bruno and Obummer and HIS lovely and brilliant wife Moochelle have driven sales of all firearms-related stuff through the roof, including gun organization memberships, not just the NRA, either.

Without the NRA all these years, the libturds and progs would have had a field day messing over the 2A and our rights as citizens; we’d be like the UK or Oz today. But it’s bad enough as it is; the buggers never stop.

  32. Robert Bruce Thompson says:

I’ve never been an NRA member, because I consider them anti-gun. They did nothing about the 1934 NFA or the 1968 GCA. We should still be able to order automatic weapons from Sears. Well, Amazon. More importantly, I should be able to order an AT-4 or Stinger from Amazon. The 2nd Amendment guarantees that.

But I’ll probably join the NRA shortly, assuming we relocate to Sparta, because the gun club up there “strong encourages” membership. As an incomer, I want to fit right in.

  33. MrAtoz says:

The stupidity of libturds never ceases to amaze me. They’ll say anything to promote Black suffering to get reparations.
MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry has said the term ‘hard worker’ should not be used because it is an insult to the experience of slaves.Harris-Perry made the declaration while interviewing Alfonso Aguilar, the executive director of the American Principle Project’s Latino Partnership, on her show. They had been discussing whether Wisconsin Representative Paul Ryan is a good choice for Speaker of the House. But when Aguilar used the term ‘hard worker’ to describe Ryan, a Republican, Harris-Perry objected.

  34. OFD says:

“They did nothing about the 1934 NFA or the 1968 GCA.”

Reasons, among several others, why there was a “revolution” on the Board of Directors eventually and old dead wood was gotten rid of; we face a continuing battle keeping them on the right path and a good number of recent and current Board members are with us.

I would like to have my M60 back with spare parts and tools and a million rounds of ammo. I don’t think that’s asking too much. A few hundred Stingers would be good, too.

    “They’ll say anything…”

Stop right there, sir; it ain’t just black suffering from decades or centuries gone by; the Left has been fiddling with the language for a long time now; this is their latest offensive. To find any and all words, phrases and terms they can, an affront to whatever grievance whores and pimps, and silence and/or punish offenders. Thus we have “microaggression,” the concepts of “triggers” and “safe spaces,” “mansplaining,” and suchlike, and your guess is as good as mine as to which word or phrase or thought-crime will be on their hit list tomorrow.

I can’t recommend highly enough the late Eric Blair’s “Politics and the English Language.” It’s as relevant now, if not more so, than it ever was.

  35. JLP says:

I was told that my local gun club gets an insurance discount if a high percentage of the membership belongs to the NRA. The club insurance is provided through the NRA. I have not verified this but it sounds reasonable.

When I joined the club it was not required but strongly encouraged that I join the NRA or GOAL (Gun Owners Action League, a Massachusetts 2nd amendment group). I was proud of the fact that I had never given a penny to any politician or political group in my life (they’re all bums) so I gritted my teeth and signed up with GOAL figuring the crazy MA politicians could do me more harm in the short term.

  36. DadCooks says:

    Regarding NRA Membership:

A few years ago Glenn Beck and The Blaze had a promotion going with the NRA and I was able to upgrade my NRA Membership to Lifetime for $400.00 vs the normal $1,000.00 price (may be higher now). Some Googleing may locate a deal. You can also purchase your Lifetime on a “payment” plan.

  38. OFD says:

I saw that Sovereign Man article in my email today; things will first get kinda interesting, esp. if the rulers decide to go that route and start selling off first their own alleged assets and then ours. They may get a different reaction from what the Euro and South American juntas have gotten. At that point, plus maybe a few other events and situations, things are likely to get kinda sporty here.

Go ahead. Start confiscating bank accounts, retirement accounts, real estate, and throwing middle- and working-class peeps out on the street. Bring in the sheriffs and cops and Guard troops. Watch what happens.

    This ain’t Liechtenstein or Greece.

  39. Lynn says:

It has happened before. Right after the revolutionary war to pay those bills. It did not go well then and I suspect that it will happen again. Hillary sounds very emboldened by Obola and wants to outdo him. They can just create a new DHS action corps (brownshirts) and go street to street, collecting your guns and ammo. As far as 401Ks and IRAs, a simple flexing of a few computer keys and those accounts are sucked dry.

    https://www.sovereignman.com/trends/new-bill-to-force-us-govt-to-liquidate-assets-turns-out-there-arent-any-18149/

The USA government is the richest entity in the world. Just the armories alone are probably worth a couple of trillion dollars. Throw in Washington DC, all the federal land out west and in every state, all the military bases, Yellowstone, etc, etc, etc are worth hundreds of trillions of dollars. Unless they are selling stuff to somebody’s brother-in-law, then it is worthless (see naval petroleum reserve in Kalifornia that was sold to Occidental for a couple of billion that was worth a trillion).
    http://clui.org/ludb/site/naval-petroleum-reserve-1-and-2

  40. OFD says:

“Right after the revolutionary war to pay those bills.”

Pretty much the size of it; Shays’s Rebellion in central/western Maffachufetts and the Whiskey Rebellion in western Pennsylvania. One of the late Gore Vidal’s books was titled “Homage to Daniel Shays,” who’d been a war hero captain in the War of Independence at several of the major battles. The Whiskey Rebellion was quashed in large part by the wunnerful man on our ten-dollar bill. Hats off to Aaron Burr! I consider Vidal’s “Burr” the best of his historical novel series.

“They can just create a new DHS action corps (brownshirts) and go street to street, collecting your guns and ammo.”

Good luck with that caper; it will mos def lead to running street battles and a second civil war. I, for one, will post the late Alexander Solzhenitsyn’s words everywhere I can about what he and the other zeks in the Gulag wished they had had the guts to do when everybody was getting rousted and busted by the Cheka and the NKVD.

“The USA government is the richest entity in the world.”

Watch them sell all that wealth to the Chicoms and the moslems. At bargain-basement prices, too.

Our lords temporal will grab everything they can before high-tailing it to their fortress enclaves here or overseas and leave us to the mayhem that follows.

  41. MrAtoz says:

Let’s not forget the Electoral College, folks

CA, FL and PA pretty much wraps it up for the Dumbocrats. Almost impossible to beat. Cankles will reign supreme. Unless that aneurysm gets her. But the libturds would probably roll her carcass around and claim “she voted yes by moving her left eye lid.”

    Trump 2016!

  42. Lynn says:

I just wonder how long Israel can hold out against the moslem tide.

You do not want to know. Israel reputedly has 300+ battlefield nuclear weapons. Plus about 20 medium range ICBMs (the Jericho). Enough for all the capitals of the middle east and Egypt (what a coincidence!). Plus six diesel electric subs (German Dolphins) that carry several short range nuclear ballistic missiles each.

As far as the inner tide, Israel is still importing many Jews. If one of your forebears going back six generations was Jewish, so are you. They will buy you a plane ticket from any country in the world if you want to immigrate.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aliyah

It is a numbers game. The Jews have not started expelling Palestinians en masse. Yet.

  43. OFD says:

“But the libturds would probably roll her carcass around and claim “she voted yes by moving her left eye lid.””

Major LOL on that one, hombre; you a bad, bad hombre…

“The Jews have not started expelling Palestinians en masse. Yet.”

Who cares? Let ’em. And your post clearly shows why they sure as hell don’t need us anymore, if they ever did. Good riddance to them all! Also, while they may have a buncha nukes, so do the Pakis, and I bet the Pakis would help out with loaners for their co-religionist scum in the area. Between the two or more sides, the whole region could well end up molten glass.

NRA: they do a bare-bones membership subscription without the magazine for about US$10 annually. It might be reserved to overseas members, I don’t recall. Well worth it, considering all the places where an NRA card is good for a discount. I often get free upgrades on my rental cars by producing it. Recommended.

    Guys in wimmin’s bathrooms.

    Gals in bloke’s bathrooms.

    Why not?

My only objection is that they’ll monopolize all the cubicles.

Solution: Don’t let wimmin into the gents unless they have a certificate saying they have been taught to pee standing up at the urinal.

  47. Robert Bruce Thompson says:

I’ve always thought it was stupid to have sex-segregated bathrooms, if only from queuing theory perspective. There wouldn’t even need to be any physical changes, other than changing the signs to unisex. The ratio of the combined bathrooms is already about right, at about 3:1 or 4:1 stalls:urinals.

I still make fun of the Brit pronunciation of urinal as “yur-EIN-əl” instead of YUR-ən-əl”.

  48. Miles_Teg says:

    he he he.

I remember doing a coach tour of Scandinavia in 1990, at the rest breaks the queue outside the wimminz toilets was always a mile long, the guys could just walk straight in to their bathroom… 🙂

  49. OFD says:

Because womyn don’t go into the bathroom just to do Numbers One and/or Two; they’re in there to “fix” a bunch of other things, gab, and generally hold up everybody else outside.

  50. Chad says:

What must it take to make it obvious even to progs that things aren’t going well? What must it take to get a prog to buy a gun?

Isn’t that one of the few upsides to a SHTF/TEOTWAWKI situation? All the progs get killed off.

  51. Robert Bruce Thompson says:

There is that, but it’d be kind of like burning down your house instead of calling an exterminator.

  52. OFD says:

“… instead of calling an exterminator.”

I hear there’s a guy down in the Vampire State’s Capital District who does this sorta thing pro bono publico and some other dude way up in northern Vermont who disposes of the bodies, evidently excellent fertilizer for pot farmers.

  53. brad says:

    “No men in women’s restrooms”

This must actually cause the SJWs some serious mental short-circuits. I mean, on the one hand, you have some guy who “feels like a woman”, and you don’t want to his feelings. On the other hand, surely a restroom is supposed to be a “safe space”, and having some guy walk into their restroom will surely change that.

Frankly, a problem for which I have zero understanding. You go to the room where your equipment matches. If you have dangly bits, you go to the men’s restroom, otherwise to the women’s. If some guy feels like a woman, that’s fine for him, but his rights end when they start impacting other people.

I don’t have a problem with segregated restrooms, simply because there are jerks in the world. In a shared restroom, there will be way too many guys trying to sneak peaks, and generally making nuisances of themselves.

That said, I have seen public, unisex restrooms that were set up completely differently, and it worked. There was a large, open common area with sinks, mirrors and such. There was an area on one side with urinals, set up so that guys didn’t have any worries about being “on display”. The toilets were each in a completely enclosed room with solid walls and a door – no peaking possible. So it can work, but it does require different construction from the usual restroom.

  54. Miles_Teg says:

“That said, I have seen public, unisex restrooms that were set up completely differently, and it worked.”

I think that’s what I had in mind, probably what Bob had in mind too. I don’t see how it’s different from the layout you were arguing against…

“You go to the room where your equipment matches.”

A guy can go to either, so can a wimmin. The toilet cubicle is a great leveler, either can use it. The urinal can most easily be used by guys, of course, but I’m assured by some male family members that they have seen wimmins using the urinal, so it *can* be done.

If I was in a mixed bathroom and a wimmin came over to watch me have a slash I’d think that was really weird. If I was in a mixed bathroom and a guy came over to watch me have a shlash I’d think that was really weird too. It all comes down to courtesy. I basically ignore other guys in the men’s room, I hate it even if a guy I know well speaks to me, whereas wimmins seem to go there deliberately to socialise, spend 30 minutes powdering their faces, etc. (See Isaac Asimov’s The Caves of Steel.)

If someone, male or female, causes trouble in a mixed bathroom you can just call the management or the cops.

As my wife pointed out to me, very few to none of the current peepers are men dressed as women. They are men dressed as men, and they SNEAK in. She had this going on in her office building, with outsiders in the women’s bathroom. Locks and keys solved the issue for her building.

Anyone “hanging out” in a bathroom, regardless of how they dress, will arouse suspicion.

I hear there’s a guy down in the Vampire State’s Capital District who does this sorta thing pro bono publico

I haven’t killed anyone since I returned to NY five and a half years ago. Came close a couple times, but they backed down or witnesses showed up. This is mainly because of my youngest child; my responsibility to stay un-banged-up, un-shot, and un-arrested (though I’ve been shot as many times as I’ve been arrested and shot at many more times than I’ve been threatened with arrest) for her sake is greater than any notional responsibility I have to rid the world of muggers and other vermin.

“… responsibility I have to rid the world of muggers and other vermin.”

And, of course, banksters and politicians…oh wait….that’s redundant. My bad.
