Cool and sunny, warm later. Lower humidity. Like yesterday. It did get hot in the late afternoon, but was pleasant and mild most of the day. 73F at 930pm. I’d like more of the same.
Spent the morning getting the HVAC guys going, and then doing a pickup. 3 sets of rolling Metro ™ shelves for the shop. Came home and napped for a bit, before heading back out for the HVAC finish and the second pickup. Didn’t get much else done as I was tired.
Today I have no plan. I’m sure I’ll do the things, but nothing on the calendar. WAS going to maybe turn money into noise, but the range is closed all day. Perhaps I’ll move several projects along. Not interested in tempting fate with a plan.
Sometimes, you just gotta stack and have faith.

Back from the early-morning visit to the woods. I saw a fox. It was fun watching it catch its breakfast. It got a vole the wrong way down its throat, and spent quite a while coughing it up to try again the right way around. I had not seen that behaviour before.
My bushcraft was good, foxy came right up to me and never caught on. Only when she crossed my track in the long grass did she get scent and scuttle off. Foxes are not hunted at all in the area, but they are nevertheless afraid of human scent. It must be genetic memory.
Hunting buddy spotted a stag, but couldn’t get at it before he had to give up and go to work. Maybe we will catch up with it again this evening…
Time for breakfast. I think I will make chorizo sausage with scrambled eggs and oyster mushrooms. Kind neighbour brought by some porcini too. Mmm.
