Tues. Jan. 27, 2026 – school days, school days…

Cold again, but less so. Fern moves on. Nothing really for us. If you were affected, please share any lessons learned either positive or negative. Presumably we’ll all get back to normal winter now.

Did mostly computer stuff yesterday, after a very leisurely start to the day. Did some fiction reading in between too. Snow days = slack off days for me this time around. Now I need to get everything back to its normal state, and maybe do more permanent and appropriate fixes instead of kludges…

I have one pickup today. I didn’t even really try to buy much in the last week’s auctions. Time to do a bit more ‘shopping in my closet’ and assimilating some of the existing stacks. Plus, there is a big list that needs attention and driving around to do pickups was eating a lot of time.

Kids are back in school today and their extra stuff kicks back in too. Still chilly though.

Lists. I got ’em. Plans. I got ’em. Stacks. I got ’em. And I always seem to get more…

Tuesday. Busy, busy, but it’s fortunately time for a wee tea, internet and porter-cake break.

Reports are circulating here of criminals attempting to steal firearms from law-abiding shooters in the vicinity of shooting ranges. Carry, concealed or otherwise, is not a lawful option here, so that is a pretty easy low-risk gambit for the goblins. Not good. Not much for good people to do other than increase vigilance and discretion, and be prepared to flee or fight.

The blue is growing on me. It looks a lot better on a monitor than a phone screen, but then I have nice new monitors.

    Have a beautiful day!
