Cool and wet.\u00a0\u00a0 Supposed to keep raining off and on.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Which it did yesterday.\u00a0\u00a0 Parts of town got absolutely hammered.\u00a0\u00a0 I caught it in a couple different places as I drove around.<\/p>\n
Bayous are high, some road flooding occurred, and various places lost power, including the kids’ school.<\/p>\n
I was driving all over town, from the NW side of town to near IAH, then down to HOU then back out west… and I got caught in a downpour that could have stripped paint.\u00a0 Fortunately I was in the wife’s minivan so all the stuff stayed dry.\u00a0\u00a0 She worked from home and I borrowed her car.\u00a0 It’s great to be bourgeois.\u00a0\u00a0 To\u00a0 bad it won’t last.<\/p>\n
D1 is feeling better, so will return to school today.\u00a0 No wuflu.\u00a0 I’m a bit headache-y so I’ll be taking it easy for a couple of days.\u00a0 No desire to get sick.\u00a0 Between Mother’s Day and school stuff we’ll be home this weekend so I better start planning for\u00a0 that.\u00a0 It’s actually easier to load the truck and head to the BOL, and the task list is more straightforward.<\/p>\n
I will spend today continuing to sort, clean, and make ready for sale a bunch of stuff… and if I get to it, continue household chores as well.\u00a0\u00a0 The rain helps by narrowing the choices I have.<\/p>\n
Prices continue to rise.\u00a0\u00a0 Social conditions continue to deteriorate.\u00a0\u00a0 Tens of thousands of invaders are poised on the border, ready to descend on our cities and towns like locusts.\u00a0\u00a0 Supply chain issues continue, and the banks are getting sketchier by the day.<\/p>\n
Stack what you can.\u00a0\u00a0 All the classics, and then some.\u00a0\u00a0 I don’t think you’ll regret it.<\/p>\n
