Cool-ish and damp to start the day.\u00a0\u00a0 Some chance of rain.\u00a0\u00a0 We got a few drops last night around 11pm\u00a0 but nothing major.\u00a0 62F and dropping slowly when I went to bed.<\/p>\n
I got some stuff done yesterday, most notably I tilled the garden patch.\u00a0\u00a0 Weed whacked it first, added some fish parts, then tilled.\u00a0 Tiller started right up after sitting in the garden for a year.\u00a0\u00a0 It’s how the old man stored it, and it works.\u00a0\u00a0 It does have a big bucket covering the motor and it’s in the shade.<\/p>\n
I also almost caught a fish.\u00a0\u00a0 One hit the lure, but I lost it trying to bring it in.\u00a0\u00a0 That’s the closest I’ve come.\u00a0\u00a0 I spent a bit of time messing around with poles and bait, with no further success.\u00a0 My fisherman neighbor gave me a couple of pounds of fish fillet in sympathy for my failure.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 HE catches fish…but he’s been fishing this lake for over 50 years.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I’m learning everything I can.<\/p>\n
Like gardening, fishing has a surprising learning curve.\u00a0\u00a0 Start climbing the curve if you are thinking to supplement your protein with fish.\u00a0\u00a0 Get your garden in too.<\/p>\n
Didn’t meet with the tree guy.\u00a0\u00a0 I guess he ended up being too busy.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Got my new chainsaw out and it fired right up.\u00a0\u00a0 Didn’t move the chain though.\u00a0 Spent some time troubleshooting that.\u00a0 It was a “open box” store return and was very cheap.\u00a0\u00a0 Someone screwed up the chain so it couldn’t slide in the bar.\u00a0 No idea how you could do the damage they did.\u00a0\u00a0 A new chain should solve the problem, but that will have to wait until the next trip up.\u00a0\u00a0 I’ll have to remember the bar oil too.\u00a0\u00a0 I had a random spare chain up here but it was too long.\u00a0\u00a0 I’ll buy two this time.\u00a0 Two is one and one is none.<\/p>\n
Plan for today depends on the weather.\u00a0\u00a0 I will work on something though, rain or shine.<\/p>\n
And I’ll be stacking.\u00a0\u00a0 Always stacking.<\/p>\n
