Cold again.\u00a0 Wet again.\u00a0 Overcast again.\u00a0 Dreary again.\u00a0\u00a0 Jeez, it’s the third day of this cr@p and you’d think it was the third year.\u00a0 It’s winter FFS.<\/p>\n
And I’m SOOOOOooooo not looking forward to John Ringo’s prophesy in The Last Centurion coming true so I can enjoy my kula bar. \u00a0 We don\u2019t want to live in a John Ringo novel.<\/p>\n
Spent yesterday doing some things, and going some places.\u00a0 Ok that’s already old.\u00a0\u00a0 Did my errands.\u00a0\u00a0 Some of them anyway.\u00a0\u00a0 Tried not to tempt the universe by announcing my plans, but I got stuck anyway.<\/p>\n
I did get some more stuff out of the toy room\/library\/future GS cookie warehouse, and the foyer.\u00a0 More will leave today.\u00a0 Wife is serious about having my stuff out of the way so the cookies can be dealt with properly.<\/p>\n
Tried a new thing for dinner, a Kraft cheesy box meal, chicken with rice and broccoli.\u00a0\u00a0 Used two cans of Costco chicken.\u00a0\u00a0 Did the optional crushed Ritz cracker topping, toasted brown under the broiler.\u00a0 It was really good.\u00a0 Like an old school casserole.\u00a0 \u00a0 Kids and wife liked it a lot.\u00a0\u00a0 Always nice to have another way to use my primary stored protein.<\/p>\n
Today will involve some grocery shopping.\u00a0 Maybe Costco but certainly HEB.\u00a0 I am out of eggs after we finish this carton.\u00a0\u00a0 I could use some more cream too.\u00a0 And fresh veg if they have any that look ok.\u00a0 Baked beans in cans.\u00a0 On sale meat….. \u00a0 the usual.<\/p>\n
Between shopping and cleaning, I’ll try to either do some more organizing at my storage unit, or list some ebay stuff.\u00a0\u00a0 I might put a couple of the freezers on craigslist.\u00a0\u00a0 I think I’ll hit up a few more friends first though.\u00a0 Meatspace, after all.<\/p>\n
Do what you can to help your friends get ready.\u00a0 Stack up some good will.\u00a0 Doesn’t have to be specifically “prepper” just want them to think of you in a positive way.\u00a0\u00a0 “Man, Nick really helped us out that time, I’d hate to see anything bad happen to him…”<\/p>\n
Stacks of food will help too.<\/p>\n
