Spent most of the day doing pickups.\u00a0 After taking the dog to the vet for vax that he needed to continue going to his training class. \u00a0 Then I was feeling poorly so I laid down for a bit. \u00a0 Phone didn’t stop ringing during that hour.\u00a0 Didn’t ring before or after.\u00a0 The b@stards know.\u00a0 All in all, not super efficient use of time.<\/p>\n
Picked up D1 and spent the late afternoon thrifting.\u00a0 She needed some stuff for the theater, so we looked while I picked up a bunch of media, and some resale items.\u00a0\u00a0 B&W speakers, for example.\u00a0 Even with the scuffs they should sell for $175-200 the pair.\u00a0 They were in the bins at the Goodwill outlet.\u00a0 There were several other “good score” items as well.\u00a0 D1 was impressed.\u00a0\u00a0 We didn’t get her props.<\/p>\n
Took the dog to his last ‘training’ class.\u00a0\u00a0 The woman teaching is incredible with the dogs.\u00a0\u00a0 They WANT to do what she tells them.\u00a0 All the dogs made good progress, and their owners learned a bunch of stuff too.<\/p>\n
Today I’ll be headed out to my client’s house.(assuming nothing bad happens to my back while I sleep)<\/p>\n
My back finally ‘popped’ while stretching in a parking lot, and the worst of the pain abated when everything was properly aligned once again.\u00a0 Took an extra day\u00a0 because I didn’t want to use the pain reliever.\u00a0 Lesson learned. On the plus side, the yoga roller and the inversion table worked to get me back on track without chiropractic visits.\u00a0 One of my goals was to have the stuff and the knowledge to deal with the situation without recourse to pro help.\u00a0 Now to get started on prophylaxis.<\/p>\n
I like western civilization.\u00a0 I know a lot of people that wouldn’t be around if not for our high level of civilization.\u00a0\u00a0 But.\u00a0\u00a0 It is under threat from within and without.\u00a0 Make your plans for doing without.\u00a0 Without rule of law.\u00a0 Without enough food.\u00a0 Without solid and dependable utilities.\u00a0 Without civilization in fact.<\/p>\n
Stack the stuff you can’t create or replace or do without.\u00a0 Stack it high.<\/p>\n
