May 5, 2020 &#8211; Got some stuff done"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> Warm and wet later?\u00a0 We&#8217;ll see&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday was another beautiful day.\u00a0 It did get pretty warm, mid to high 90s in the afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>So of course I cut the grass.\u00a0 If rain is coming, I want to get the cutting done.\u00a0 I worked in the gardens a bit.\u00a0 Moved the hardware cloth (wire mesh) around to make room for the shoots.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve got corn, watermelon, and acorn squash sprouting.\u00a0 Added dirt to the potato towers.\u00a0 Found my nemesis, the caterpillars, on the grape vines.\u00a0 Sprayed those little leaf eaters.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll keep an eye on it in case I have to spray again.\u00a0 Tomato plants are healthy and sturdy looking, but no tomatoes.\u00a0 Nothing sprouting in my window boxes yet either.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m still working on cleaning and sorting in the back corner of the garage.\u00a0 Got my mountain bike dug out.\u00a0 Which prompted trying to air up the tires, and then that led to replacing tube and tire in the front.\u00a0 Used a compressor I picked up super cheap, and that will be a project too.\u00a0 It doesn&#8217;t turn off when it gets to pressure.\u00a0 I just kept an eye on the gauge and shut it off manually, but eventually I&#8217;ll take a look at it and fix it.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve got other pressure switches somewhere&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>And then I tried to buy kickstands at amazon&#8230; and couldn&#8217;t get any without a 3 week delay for shipping.\u00a0 Weird.\u00a0\u00a0 Ebay sellers had a couple, so I did buy one.\u00a0 All the family bikes need maintenance, lube and adjust at a minimum.\u00a0 Just more to do.\u00a0 While I&#8217;m at it, I&#8217;m getting some extra inner tubes.\u00a0 Somewhere I have\u00a0 a patch kit I need to find, but if the stem is leaking, you just need to replace the tube.<\/p>\n<p>I spent the morning working on parts and ordering for my client upgrades.<\/p>\n<p>Dinner was chicken curry over rice.\u00a0 I used one of my favorites, Vermont Curry (which is Japanese), one can of chicken, part can of carrots, fresh saute&#8217;d chopped onion, and a left over potato from dinner last night.\u00a0 Sometimes I add canned peas too.\u00a0 I made the &#8220;half&#8221; recipe which filled us up with only a tiny bit left over.\u00a0 It&#8217;s very mild and sweet\/savory without any &#8216;heat&#8217;.\u00a0 Last of the birthday cake for dessert.\u00a0 There is a real advantage to using canned veg, as they are already cooked, you really just need to heat everything and dissolve the curry cubes.\u00a0 Saves about 15 &#8211; 20 minutes or more.\u00a0 It was one of my favorite &#8216;bachelor&#8217; meals, and surprise, one child and my wife both really liked it.<\/p>\n<p>More of the same today, little bits and pieces, but progress is slowly being made on lots of little things.<\/p>\n<p>Make a little progress every day.<\/p>\n<p>Stay in, stay safe, keep stacking.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p> Warm and wet later?\u00a0 We&#8217;ll see&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday was another beautiful day.\u00a0 It did get pretty warm, mid to high 90s in the afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>So of course I cut the grass.\u00a0 If rain is coming, I want to get the cutting done.\u00a0 I worked in the gardens a bit.\u00a0 Moved the hardware cloth (wire mesh) around to make room for the shoots.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve got corn, watermelon, and acorn squash sprouting.\u00a0 Added dirt to the potato towers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ttgnet.com\/journal\/2020\/05\/05\/tues-may-5-2020-got-some-stuff-done\/\">&nbsp;&raquo;&nbsp;Read more about: Tues.
