I got almost all the tree trimming done that I wanted to.\u00a0 There’s still a lot of small and medium sized dead stuff in the oak, but I shortened and lightened the main branches, especially the ones over the house.\u00a0 I usually do that before hurricane season, so with the cooler weather, and a pile of debris waiting for heavy trash pickup, it was a good time to do it.\u00a0\u00a0 I will say that my pecs are sore from yesterday’s sawing…<\/p>\n
Then it was time to cook dinner for the birthday girl.\u00a0 She wanted\u00a0 “a 5 course meal” starting with grilled skewered chicken hearts, soup, grilled pork ribs, chocolate dipped strawberries and marshmallows, and finally birthday cake.\u00a0 So that’s what we did.\u00a0 Pulled from the freezer, cans, shelves (cake mix), and fresh strawberries. Wife made the cake, I decorated it.\u00a0 We all ate it!\u00a0\u00a0 A good time was had by most, as older sister was a tiny bit frustrated about not getting enough attention.\u00a0 Boo hoo.\u00a0 Her birthday is next month.<\/p>\n
Amazon says my hard drive will be here in a day or so.\u00a0 The slippers I ordered on the same ticket will be delayed.\u00a0\u00a0 HD = critical and priority, slippers =\u00a0 no need to ship so soon.\u00a0\u00a0 Except that I need to wear shoes, all the time.\u00a0 If I walk around the house barefoot, I get foot, leg, knee, and back pain.\u00a0\u00a0 The Dr Scholls have a thick sole that conforms and supports my foot.\u00a0 Good thing I ordered early and my current ones have a little life left.\u00a0 Maybe I should order an extra pair.<\/p>\n
Yesterday felt like a continuation of the weekend.\u00a0 Today feels like work.<\/p>\n
