I am interested to see what we’ll be doing with the fifth graders this year.\u00a0 We have at least 3 dissections planned.\u00a0 We’re doing some other stuff too, like drones and rockets, but I don’t have any details yet.\u00a0 Should be fun.\u00a0 One thing I can say for sure, if you aren’t in a school this year or last, you really don’t know what is going on in schools today.\u00a0 It’s not what you remember.\u00a0 Volunteer and see for yourself.<\/p>\n
In fact, as part of Meatspace Baby! get out and volunteer in your community.\u00a0 You can be totally selfish in who you volunteer for too.\u00a0 I’m not working in soup kitchens…\u00a0 it will get you out of the house, and into your community.\u00a0 LOCAL is where the problems will be, and where any solutions reside.\u00a0 The dad I met yesterday is completely aligned with me politically on the issues we talked about.\u00a0 He’s a CHL holder.\u00a0 He might be a LMI and a good guy to know…\u00a0 and I probably wouldn’t have learned that just bumping in to him at a PTA meeting.\u00a0 Get out there.\u00a0 Do something.\u00a0\u00a0 (Ham radio is good too.)<\/p>\n
