Woke up thinking of things that had changed my life for the better. I think I need to divide the list into intentional and un-intentional.<\/p>\n
The short list for intentional- without much thought:<\/p>\n
-cordless power tools that really work (starting with makita 9.6v)
\n-lasik eye surgery
\n-computers (starting with TRS-80 and apple II)
\n-cell phone (not smart phone) with national calling plan
\n-MIG welding (learning then buying my own machine)<\/p>\n
Some that just happened to me
\n-seeing Cats at the Shubert theatre in Chicago
\n-changing major to theatre
\n-bad motorcycle accident
\n-meeting the right people
\n-engineering drawing (shop class, 7th grade)<\/p>\n
(don’t know if these are good or bad, but they did change me)
\n-Rodney King riots
\n-9-11<\/p>\n
I’m sure there are more, but ‘time to make the donuts.’<\/p>\n
