I said universal indicator is &#8220;rose&#8221; at pH 3, but I should have said &#8220;salmon&#8221; or perhaps &#8220;terra cotta&#8221;. It&#8217;s a problem of guy-colors versus girl-colors. Like most guys, I have no clue what girl-colors like chartreuse or fuchsia are. I&#8217;ve even gotten in trouble with girls for pronouncing the latter in the German way.
