07:49 – It is pouring down outside, which is supposed to continue through mid-evening. I hope it doesn’t wash away the grass seed and fertilizer that Barbara put down yesterday.

Costco run and dinner with Mary and Paul yesterday. I think it was the smallest Costco run we’d ever done. We ended up with less stuff total than we usually end up with for each of us.

I’m still working on taxes.

I got four weird sized (7 x 5 = 35 bottles) cases of Ozarka water, an undersized charmin soft tp, bounty paper towels, a cannage (6) of chicken and a 200 count box of 13 gallon trash bags yesterday. And then a reward of a strawberry sundae for the road.

I am now wondering when they are going to undersize the bounty paper towels. The charmin went from 36 rolls to 30 rolls and the price increased from $18.99 to $20.99 in January.

Nearly everything is getting downsized. I was in Staples the other day to get a refill for my packing tape. Right there on the shelf in the inventory, were tape rolls that were 2 slightly different widths — older stuff was wider, newer stuff was slightly narrower. Since my dispenser holds the tape by tension on both sides of the roll, I got the bigger one, which fits perfectly. Obviously, had I chosen the narrower one, it would not have been a perfect fit. The marketplace at work: necessitating purchases of new dispensers.
